I am his niece and share the same fond memories of books. He loved teaching. I’m so glad you remember him.
Have known Jerry for over a quarter of a century. I knew almost immediately that we were destined to become good friends as we shared many of same values and interests. He was a caring, compassionate, loyal and trustworthy friend and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Could count on him being there for the good times and even when things got tough. Like a brother to us both. He will hold a special place in our hearts, and we will never forget the good times shared. Our condolences to his family at this time.
I remember Mr. Doty from when I attended Shawnee Elementary School in the late 1960's, prior to our family relocating to Arizona in 1969. He was a very good teacher. Peace to him, and his entire family.
My 6th grade English teacher. Some of his reading suggestions became favorite books. I loved his class!
