Elida, Ohio Jane Ann (Sybert) Decker, 76, of Elida, Ohio was granted her angel wings on April 29th. Mom was born on June 19, 1935 to Curry and Freda (Miller) Sybert, who preceded her in their journey to heaven. Mom married her high school sweetheart, Fred L. Decker. For over 54 years, the last seven years Dad has been beside us through this journey as mom's guardian angel. One of mom's happiest times in life was when she volunteered at Elida Elementary, helping the kids learn to read. You know that her love is with you still For she loved you in life and always will. Love like hers can never end Because it is the perfect blend Of joy and sorrows, smiles and tears That just grew stronger with the years. Love like hers can never die For she's taken it with her to the sky... So think of Mom as living above No farther away than your undying love, For now she is happy and free once more And she's waiting for you at Heaven's door. Mom's favorite verse: 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV) and now these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love. Mom and Dad had four kids: one daughter, Deb Geary of Elida; three sons, Jack and Barb Decker of Elida, Dennis Decker of Lima and Dave Decker of Elida. They had four grandsons, Mike, Adam, Jesse and Andrew. Mom was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Elida. Services will begin at 11a.m. Thursday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Ruth Solo will officiate. Burial will be at Ottawa River Cemetery, Rimer. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Wednesday at the funeral home
