James "Jim" Coil Obituary
Leipsic, Ohio (formerly of Columbus Grove, Ohio) James "Jim" L. Coil, age 75, died at 5:00 a.m., Sunday, September 4, 2016, at his home in Leipsic, Ohio. He was born June 27, 1941, in Beaverdam, Ohio, to Arthur and Mary (Whitehill) Coil. They both preceded him in death. In 1962, he married Betty A. Martz, and she survives in Leipsic. Jim was a graduate of Beaverdam High School, class of 1959. He had worked at Memorial Hospital, Ford Motor Company and had retired from Westinghouse, formerly of Lima, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing , hunting, Nascar Racing and liked classic cars. He always enjoyed helping people and neighbors. He is survived by three sons: Paul Coil and David (Tracy) Coil, both of Leipsic and Daniel Coil of Columbus Grove; one daughter: Robin (Kenneth) Martin of Cloverdale; six grandchildren: Amanda Coil, Jodi Coil, Abby Coil, Nathan Coil, Omar Martin and Rhea Martin; four great grandchildren: Destiny Paniagua, Teira Paniagua, Bryson Coil and Emma Aiden; and his best four legged friend, Duke. Jim was preceded in death by two sisters: Sandra Jones and Phyllis Gorgas. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Brett Kelly will officiate, with burial to follow at Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 pm and on Wednesday,10:00 am until time of the service, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or to the St. Johns United Methodist Church, Columbus Grove.
