James Carroll's Obituary
James Carroll, 80, of The Plains, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at home. Born in Springfield, Ohio, he was the son of Mary (Carroll) Ogleton, who survives. He enjoyed watching the NFL and boxing and loved his tropical fish. He enjoyed sitting and conversing on porches, in backyards and family functions, and always enjoyed hearing from his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, LaMont, Katrina, and Dusty, Darrius and Shelby, and his stepsons Ivan and Ian; 15 grandchildren, seven grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by the family of Frank Taylor; and the family of Jenny Dailey, who warmly embraced him as one of their own for so many years. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Eva Carroll.
Memorial service is 1:30 pm on February 22, 2025, at Holiness House of Prayer, 23965 OH-93, Wellston, Ohio, 45692. Preferred memorials are to the Wounded Warrior Project.
