Columbus Grove, Ohio Jacque L. Donovan, 79, died at 4:05 pm, Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, Ohio. He was born on July 8, 1938, in Allen County, Ohio, to Jim and Mary (Ridenour) Donovan. They both preceded him in death. On October 3, 1959, he married Linda Roeder, who survives. Jacque is also survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Fischbach and Carleen (Robbie) Wray; 4 granddaughters, Amanda, Pamela and Elizabeth Fischbach and Heather ( Aaron ) McMillen; and two great grandchildren, Haylie and Brayden McMillen. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Lee Donovan; a son, Clair Dean Donovan; son in-law, Stephen Fischbach; a sister, Linda A Ketcham and his twin brother, Gene Dee Donovan. Jacque was a Columbus Grove High School graduate, class of 1957. He served in the United States Navy as a Aviation Electrician 3rd class. Jacque was a licensed Chief Steam Engineer with the National Institute of Power Engineers and First Class Stationary Steam Engineer with the Ohio Department of Commerce. He taught steam engineering at Apollo and was a Plant Maintenance Engineer with the State of Ohio. He previously owned Jacque's Country Market. Jacque participated in many 4-H programs over the years. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Burial to follow in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2018, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home.
