COLUMBUS GROVE — Irvin C. Bowersock, 92, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at the Meadows at Putnam Acres, near Ottawa. Born Aug. 12, 1921, in Delphos, he was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel and Margaret (Elder) Bowersock. On Apr. 22, 1944, he married Elvera D. Bowersock. Vera died March 6, 2004. Irv retired from the Clark Equipment Co., formerly of Lima, after 44 years of service. He was an avid golfer and woodworker, and he had three career holes-in-one. Survivors include two daughters: Judith L. Doty and Joyce (Dennis) Seyer both of Columbus Grove; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law: Mary Bockrath, of Cleveland. Brothers John and Donald Bowersock; a sister: Elottie Ross; and a grandson: Dane Nelson, preceded Irv in death. At his request, there will be no services or visitation. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, handled arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
