Irene Wright Obituary
COLUMBUS GROVE — Irene Wright, 88, died at 3:38 p.m. Jan. 11, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born March 3, 1924, in Bucyrus to Otto E. and Dessie F. Brown Siegfried, who preceded her in death. On July 18, 1942, she married Ronald M. Wright, who died Feb. 16, 2004. Mrs. Wright was a graduate of Lima South High School, Class of 1941. She had worked several years at McAdams Florist and K&J Greenhouse, both in Columbus Grove. She was a member of the Cairo Christian Church, Progressive Mothers Club, Columbus Grove, and the Ladies of Fun and Fellowship, Cairo. Survivors include two sons, Ken (Jean) Wright, of Columbus Grove, and Dale (Joyce) Wright, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Kathy (Max) McKanna, of Copley; eight grandchildren, Bruce (Katie) McKanna, Brent (Melissa) McKanna, Brian (Kami) McKanna, Ben (Meredith) Wright, Melissa (Andy) Haines, Greg (Angela) Wright, Melanie (Matt) Zeeb and Kyle (Lindy) Wright; 14 great-grandchildren, Eric, Chelsea and Clara McKanna, Brayden and Lilly Haines, Jack and Andrew McKanna, Ethan and Ella McKanna, Lenea and Bowen Wright, Iain, Josiah and Abram Wright; a sister, Norma Jones, of Cairo; two sisters-in-law, Jane Wright, of Columbus Grove, and Thelma Brouse, of Winchester, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Carolyn Jones. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Ian McKanna; and three half sisters and a half brother. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Max McKanna and Pastor Ben Wright will officiate. Burial will be in Osborn Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus Grove EMS.
