Grace Blockberger Obituary
Columbus Grove, Ohio Grace G. Blockberger, 95, died at 10:15 am, April 3, 2017, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora, Ohio. She was born on October 22, 1921, in Columbus Grove, to Merle and Alta (Hofferbert) Dukes. They both preceded her in death. On July 15, 1950, she married Elmer L. Blockberger. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1996. Grace is survived by a daughter: Barbara Messina of Elgin, IL, two granddaughters: Christine and Melinda; four great grandsons: Kenneth, Zachery, Sean and Angelo; one brother: Glenn (Rita) Dukes of Cadillac, MI; three nephews: William Dukes, John Bernard and Dale Binkley and one niece: Debra Tiesworth. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Kathleen (Harold) Binkley and Carol (Sam) Palmer. Grace was a member of the Ottawa Missionary Church, and the ladies group of the church, Women's Missionary International. She had worked at the K & K Variety Store, formerly of Columbus Grove; Triplett Corp. of Bluffton, and Rusco Co. formerly of Pandora. Services will begin at 2:00pm, on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Marshall Metzger will officiate, with burial to follow in Truro West Cemetery.
