COLUMBUS GROVE — Gordon D. Jones, 76, died Saturday, June 29 2013, at the Van Wert Manor, Van Wert, Ohio.
He was born March 6, 1937, near Columbus Grove, the son of Homer A. and Esther M. (Stateler) Jones, who preceded him in death.
Gordon was a graduate of the Vaughnsville High School, class of 1956. He had worked for the former Sylvania GTE Corp. Ottawa, and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Ottawa.
Survivors include a brother, Norman L. (Ruby) Jones, Kenton, Ohio, and a sister, Linda (Melvin) Borton, Ottawa, Ohio.
Visitation will be held at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from 10:00 A. M. until noon, at which time Pastor Lynda Lockwood will preside over funeral services. Following the noon services at the funeral home, burial will be in the Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa.
