Gladys Hawkis Obituary
ANDORA — Gladys Jean Hawkins, 89, died at 9:08 p.m. Aug. 29, 2012, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She was born Feb. 16, 1923, in Toronto to Sesel and Gladys Minetta Chapman Castor, who preceded her in death. On July 7, 1948, she married Howard Hawkins, who survives. Mrs. Hawkins was a homemaker. She had lived in Bluffton, Ind. Survivors also include a son, John R. (Laura) Hawkins, of Leominster, Mass.; a daughter, Rebecca J. (Martin) Diller, of Pandora; two sisters, Carol Maxine Symonds and Barbara Elaine Kiracofe, both of Sarasota, Fla.; five grandchildren, Joseph (Sheree) Diller, Juli (Justin) Shank, Jordan (Amy) Diller, Kelsey Diller and Sarah (Antonio) Limon; and nine great-grandchildren, Niko and Mila Diller, Siarrah, Erica, Nikoma, Fausto, Miguel, John and Julian Limon. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Paul and Kenneth Castor; and a sister, Loreta C. Hodge. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pandora Missionary Church, Pandora. Pastor Sam Ochstein will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Hospice or Pandora Missionary Church. Arrangements are by Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.
