Columbus Grove, Ohio Gary L. Wiswasser, age 64, died Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. He was born August 19, 1955, in Lima to Billy F. and Alice M. (Maag) Wiswasser, Sr.. His mother survives near Columbus Grove and his father preceded him in death on May 2, 2007. On May 18, 1974, he married Kim LaDow, and she survives near Columbus Grove.. Gary is survived by his son, Elijha (Lisa) Wiswasser of Columbus Grove; grandson, Elijah J Wiswasser; one brother, Billy (Jeanna) Wiswasser, Jr. of Vaughnsville; two sisters, Deborah Schmersal and Sharon Harman both of Columbus Grove; and several nieces and nephews. Gary was a graduate of LCC, Lima, Ohio, followed by two years of training for HVAC, and earned his Journeyman's Skilled Trade License. He had worked 32 years at the Toledo Correctional Institute, from which he retired. Gary was a member of the Riley Creek United Methodist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors: gardening, biking in the rain, camping and fishing. He also loved helping with the farm. Gary loved his family....truly, he did.
