Gail R Caton's Obituary
Gail R. Caton, 76, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at his daughter's home. He was born on May 19th, 1950, in Lima, Ohio to the late Vernon and Wilda (Anderson) Caton.
Gail graduated from Columbus Grove High School and Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He was a machinist at Ex-Cell-O in Bluffton, member of UAW Local 1327, worked at Logan Enterprises in West Liberty, and Walmart in Ottawa.
He enjoyed working in his garden, rooting for the Buckeyes, collecting wolf related memorabilia, mushroom hunting, and family gatherings.
Gail is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Caton; son, Chadd (fiancé Andrea) Caton; brothers, Wayne Caton, and David (Mercy) Caton; sister, Susan Siefker, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by sister-in-law, Cheryl Caton.
His family would like to thank those employees at Walmart, the special nurses at St. Rita's Hospital, and to Putnam County Homecare and Hospice for their above and beyond kindness and caring.
