Columbus Grove, Ohio Francis B. Stechschulte, age 90, died at 11:41am, on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at his home in Columbus Grove, Ohio. He was born on November 24, 1927, near Pandora, Ohio, to Frank and Marguerite (Kiene) Stechschulte. They both preceded him in death. On April 19, 1952, he married Dora Jean Brinkman. She survives in Columbus Grove, Ohio. He is survived by two sons: Kevin (Karen) Stechschulte and Glen (Cindy) Stechschulte, both of Columbus Grove; two daughters: Michele (Bob) Michel and Gina (Jim) Wurth both of Columbus Grove; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and two sisters: Mary (Wayne) Sutter of Mt. Horeb, WI and Jean Schulte of Pandora; five brothers: John (Betty) of Ottawa; Joe (Judy), Karl (Blanche), David (Lou), and Jerry (Paula) Stechschulte all of Columbus Grove; three sisters in-law: Margaret Stechschulte and Sharon Stechschulte both of Columbus Grove and Ruth Ann Stechschulte of Ottawa; and one brother in-law: William (Kathy) Eversole of Columbus Grove. He was preceded in death by a sister: Marguerite "Nook" Eversole; four brothers: Robert (Agnes), Maurice "Moe", Harry, Patrick and one brother in-law, Ed Schulte. Fran was a life long member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1945. He retired after 47 1/2 years at Countrymark Co-Op. He was a member of the B.O.P. Elks Lodge #54, Lima and Faternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 2234, Ottawa. He enjoyed fishing at Lake Erie, boating on Marble Lake, MI and spending time with family. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am, on Monday, March 5, 2018, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. Father Tom Extejt will officiate, with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 pm, on Sunday, March 4, 2018, and one hour prior to the service Monday, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Scripture Service will begin at the close of visitation. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care Bridge Hospice gave their dad.
