Cairo, Ohio Fairy Ellen Miller, 80, died at 2:20 pm, Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Wyngate Senior Living Community, Lima. She was born October 7, 1938, in Lima to Charles W. and Cleota E. (Alspaugh) Leming. They both preceded her in death. On May 21, 1958, she married Ted R. Miller, he survives near Cairo. She is survived by one son, Troy Miller of Cairo; two daughters, Gwen (Jeff) Grizzard of Mobile, AL, and DeVon "Dee Dee" (Dan) Cappillo of East Canton; three grandchildren, Nathan and Lindsay Grizzard and Tony Cappillo; and one brother James Leming of Rawson. Fairy was a graduate of Lima Senior High School. She along with her husband, owned and operated Auto Barn and ABC Rental, south of Cairo. She had owned the Dairy Whip for seven years in Columbus Grove. She had attended Cairo Untied Methodist Church. Fairy was very involved in Girl and Boy Scouts in Cairo. She enjoyed quilting with the West Central Ohio Quilt Guild, and genealogy. She and the Allen County Genealogy Society identified and published all the burials in the Allen County Cemeteries. Services will begin at 10:00 am, Friday, December 14, 2018, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio. Pastor Michael Whitman will officiate with burial to follow in Osborne Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00pm, Thursday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Putnam County Hospice. Online condolences may be made at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
