Ethel Mae Maag's Obituary
Ethel Mae Maag, 82, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025. She was born April 1, 1943, in Lima, Ohio to the late Lynwood "Tony" and Laura (Eversole) Smith.
Ethel is survived by children, Shane Maag, Jodi Garberson, Cindy (Mike) Kelley and Bryan Maag; grandchildren, Samantha (Jayson) Tirey, Brandon Garberson, Alyssa Maag, Megan Garberson, Ethan (Ashlynn) Beidelschies, Aubrey Maag, Hayley Maag,; great grandchildren, Sean Garberson, Camero Garberson and Harvey Garberson; half-sister, Debra (Ted) Slusser; half-brother, Dennis (Terri) Smith and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by brothers, David Wayne Smith and Clyde "Ed" Smith, and son-in-law, Bruce Garberson.
She worked at Rainbow Party Shop, Columbus Grove for over 20 years and she also babysat all her grandkids. Ethel was an active member and historian for United Church of Christ. She was also very creative, artistic and loved the holidays.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM Monday, October 13, 2025, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home 10879 SR OH-12 Columbus Grove, with visitation one hour prior to service from 1:00PM - 2:00PM. Burial service to follow at Campbell Cemetery, Columbus Grove. In lieu of gifts or flowers, please make memorial donations to Alzheimer's Association https://www.alz.org/ and/or Bridge Hospice https://www.bvhealthsystem.org.
