Columbus Grove, Ohio Elizabeth A. "Betty" George, age 78, died at 8:17pm, on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 17, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio, to Harold and Naomi (Mayhue) LaBeau. They both preceded her in death. On June 17, 1971, she married Phillip M. George. He survives in Columbus Grove. She is survived by one son: Terry A. (Renae) George of Mt. Cory; one daughter: Lynn (Debra) George of Toledo; three grandchildren: Luke and Caleb George and Angie (Bobby) Emerson; six great grandchildren: Christian, Graham, Destiny, Emma, Abby and Taylor; one brother: Robert (Kathy) LaBeau; and one niece: Wendy (Rick) Singular. She is preceded in death by a daughter: Ann Marie Bishop. Betty had attended Toledo Waite High School, after which she worked at St. Charles Hospital, Toledo. After her marriage and moving to Columbus Grove, she worked at the following businesses: Club 65, Fortman Cleaners and Konalrad Products. She was a member of the VFW Post 9648 Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie #2772 Auxiliary, both of Columbus Grove. Betty enjoyed short wave radio, garage sales, primitive camping, regular camping and she loved cooking. Celebration of life will be at a later date.
