Elaine McCarty Obituary
LIMA Elaine K. McCarty, 60, died at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 5, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born Dec. 18, 1951, in Lima to Harold Leroy and Melvene Ayers Bohyer, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 9, 1982, she married Lyle R. McCarty, who survives. Mrs. McCarty was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Perry High School. She had worked for United Telephone Co., Lima, the Carlton House, Shawnee, and Bluelick Community Church, Lima. She was a member of Lima Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, spending time with her family and looking after her grandchildren. She was an avid garage sale shopper. Survivors include three daughters, Cori Elaine McCarty, Lindi Kay Hartman and Joni Lee (Mike) Coffey, all of Lima; two brothers, Harold Wayne (Jan) Bohyer, of Lima, and Michael Alan (Tonya) Bohyer, of Elida; a sister, Tina Jolene (Greg) Youngpeter, of Spencerville; and four grandchildren, Gabriel Michael Coffey, Elijah James Coffey, Sonny Lee Hartman and Bentley Cole Hartman. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Sonny Vincent Hartman. Services will begin at noon Saturday at Lima Baptist Church. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate. Burial will be in Bluelick Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m until time of services Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.
