Eileen Kahle Obituary
Columbus Grove, Ohio Eileen A. Kahle, age 87, died November 25, 2015 at 6:27 p.m. She was born on January 30, 1928, in Glandorf, Ohio to the late Frank and Marcella (Schmidt) Korte. On April 23, 1952, she married Walter F. Kahle, who preceded her in death on April 14, 1986. Mrs. Kahle was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Columbus Grove, The Alter Rosary Society, and a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Post #516. She had been a factory worker for 25 years, working at the former Sylvania Company in Ottawa; Bluffton Plastics and Monsanto of Lima. Later in life, Eileen enjoyed cooking for weddings at the American Legion and cooking at St. Anthony's for their annual Summer Social and funeral dinners. Eileen and her husband raised six children on the family farm, three boys: Dennis (Marcia) Kahle of Elida, Walt (Donna) Kahle, Jr of Wapakoneta and Jerry Kahle of West Liberty; two daughters: Wilma Kahle of Columbus Grove and Donna Darby of Pandora; ten grandchildren: AJ Darby, Brian Kahle, Sherry Kahle, Teresa St. Clair, Trent Kahle, Jessica Kahle, Amy Kahle, Kara Newell, Jeremy Kahle and Lindsey Miller; twelve great grandchildren; one sister: Ruth Ford of Continental; and three sisters in-law: Ruth Korte and Anna Kahle both of Glandorf and Irene Kahle of Columbus Grove. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Darlene Hawk and four brothers: Richard, Paul, Cletus and Thomas Korte. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2015, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. Father Tom Extejt will officiate, with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.
