(Beloved Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, and Grandpa)
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Edwin Lee Myers, a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and grandpa. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and laughter.
Ed had a heart full of kindness and a spirit that shone as brightly as the stars in a galaxy far, far away. A man of many passions, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from the hum of a computer to the thrill of fishing on quiet waters, the wind in his face while sailing, and the excitement of traveling to new places. His deep love for the world around him was matched only by his love for his family.
A true adventurer at heart, Ed spent his youth exploring the outdoors and cultivating a passion for life's wonders. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout, a testament to his dedication, perseverance, and commitment to helping others. His spirit of service and compassion touched the lives of all who knew him, always offering a helping hand and words of encouragement when needed.
In addition to his love of nature, Ed was a dedicated fan of all things Star Wars, finding comfort and inspiration in the stories of courage, hope, and family. As an avid movie lover, and longtime career with Regal Cinemas, he spent countless hours watching films and sharing those moments with his family. Whether it was a heart-pounding action flick or a classic adventure, he found joy in storytelling and the connection that came with watching something special together.
His sense of humor was infectious, and his love for tools-whether used to build, fix, or create-was endless. He had a knack for making the impossible seem possible, teaching his family and friends how to approach challenges with confidence and creativity.
But it was his role as a father and uncle that truly defined him. He cherished every moment with Hannah and his nephews and niece, offering unwavering support and unconditional love. As a grandpa and great-uncle, he delighted in the joy of these children, creating lasting memories of laughter and generosity.
As Yoda once said, "Do or do not, there is no try." Ed lived every day with that same resolve, doing everything with passion, purpose, and love. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We are comforted in the knowledge that our God is just, loving, and merciful and all these attributes are perfectly and beautifully met in the person of Jesus Christ whom Ed acknowledged as Lord and Savior. "May the Force be with you."
