Earl Forbush Obituary
Ottawa, Ohio Earl G. Forbush, 89, died Friday, July 1, 2016, at the Putnam Heritage Living Center, Ottawa, Ohio. He was born December 28, 1926, in Troy Township, Oakland County, Michigan, to Arthur R. and Esther L. (Renshaw) Forbush, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Margie Alkire in 1954, and she died in 1987. He then married Esther Martin, who died in 2001. After graduation from high school, Earl entered the United States Navy. He attended the University of Michigan after his tour in the Navy, where he earned, and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering. His life’s work was with the former Sylvania Electric of Ottawa, Ohio, retiring after 37 years. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Ottawa for sixty-six years. He served on several church committees, and very much enjoyed singing in the church choir. Earl also was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa. He always enjoyed returning to his home area in Michigan to visit with relatives and friends. Survivors include his brother, David Forbush, of Holly Michigan, and 26 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Arthur Forbush, Jr., Russell Forbush, Leonard Forbush, and Marshall Forbush, along with two sisters, Virginia Belford and Audrey Graham. Friends may call Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, from 10:00 a. m. until funeral services, which will begin at 1:00 p. m. Pastor Lynda Lockwood will officiate. Burial will follow in the Clymer Cemetery, near Pandora. Memorials may be made to the Putnam County Hospice. On line condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com .
