Lima, Ohio
Earl F. Ehrhardt, 90, passed away at St. Rita’s Hospice in Lima, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 21, 2022. He was born on May 22, 1932, in Lexington, IL, to Frank and Mary (Pirtle) Ehrhardt. He married Alice Ruth Tussing who preceded him in death.
Earl is survived by his daughters Karen Gillete, Kathy (David) Radabaugh, Rhonda Ehrhardt, Mary Ehrhardt, and Tracy Ehrhardt, all of Columbus Grove, and daughters Karla (Mike) Doseck and Kimberly (Dan) Ott both of Botkins. Also surviving are brother Dave in CT, and sisters Mildred and Myra both of IL. Earl is survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Henry, Wayne, Lyle, and Frank Junior, his son Jake Ehrhardt, his daughter Ashley Hicks, grandson Chad Doseck, and granddaughters Sarah Ott and Nicole Fitzgerald, and great-granddaughter Ella Jade Smith.
Earl installed communication poles and lines on the Nickel Plate Railroad and was a part of the “communication gang”. He liked to go camping with his family and was known as the “bike guy” in Lima. After retiring he remodeled and painted houses. Earl was a member of the Columbus Grove VFW post.
There will be private family service held at a later date.
