Rushmore, Ohio Dorothy Eileen Berry, 90, died at 2:20 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Vancrest of Ada. She was born on December 5, 1927, in Columbus Grove, to Ralph and Lucille (Schindler) Ramsey. They both preceded her in death. On July 16, 1948, Eileen married Fred Berry, who preceded her in death, February 18, 2006. Eileen is survived by one son, Brad Berry; one daughter, Nancy (Gene) Sprague; five grandchildren, Jeani (Lorren) Pint, Gene Sprague, Brad (Nicole) Sprague, Bret Sprague, Katy (Brian Wintersteller) Sprague; 11 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; one brother in-law, Tom (Audrey) Berry; and her yorkie mix puppy, Buddy Berry. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathleen Meyer; one son, Fred Thomas Berry; and one sister, Norma Jean Hunt. Eileen attended Vaughnsville High School and was a member of the Ottawa River Church, Rimer. She retired from Huffy Manufacturing, formerly of Delphos. She enjoyed traveling throughout the world, due to her husband's 27 year career in military service. Eileen enjoyed her garden especially pulling the weeds. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Mark Walls will officiate, with burial to follow in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ottawa River Church, Putnam Pet Pals or donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
