Dorothy Jean Gray's Obituary
Dorothy Gray, 86, of Columbus Grove, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026. She was born on May 16, 1939, to the late Harry and Ermah (Gebhardt) Carpenter. On August 9, 1976, she married Bobby Gray, who preceded her in death on February 6, 2021.
She is survived by son, Barry Watson, stepdaughters, Sherri A. Jones and Angela S. Meagher; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild; sister, Ruth (Richard) Beidelschies; brothers, Tom (Carolyn) Carpenter, Jim (Marlene) Carpenter, Calvin (Patty) Carpenter; and sister-in-law, Dallice (Newman) Carpenter. Very good friends for over 25 years, Vic & Steve Niese, Karen & Mark Nienberg, and Ken & Deb Franks. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Cieszynski; and brother, Herbert Carpenter.
Dorothy was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, Class of 1957. She worked at JoAnn Fabrics. She liked to crochet and made baby blankets for Sufficient Grace Ministries, Deshler, Ohio. She was a member of the Church at Allentown.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 State Route 12, Columbus Grove with visitation two hours prior (11:00 am - 1:00 pm). Neal Whitney officiating. Burial to follow at Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove and Celebration of Life and luncheon at the Columbus Grove Christian Church, 105 S. Broadway Street, Columbus Grove.
