Donald L. Myers Obituary
COLUMBUS GROVE — Donald L. “Popeye” Myers, 76, died at 1:44 p.m. Aug. 5, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born May 29, 1937, in Lima to Orphe E. and Iona Kohli Myers, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 24, 1961, he married LaDonna Lytle, who survives.
Mr. Myers worked at Scot Lad Foods from 1971 until his retirement in 1994. He was a big fan and loved to watch The Ohio State University football team. He and his wife enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and going to their sporting events.
Survivors also include a daughter, Mary Ann (Doug) Cramer, of Bluffton; a daughter-in-law, Janette Myers, of Bluffton; a sister, Glenna Gorman, of Sparta, Tenn.; and four grandchildren, Mitchell Cramer, of Omaha, Neb., Derek Cramer, of Bluffton, Anthony Myers, of Beaverdam, and Audrianna Myers, of Columbus Grove.
He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney L. Myers; a great-granddaughter, MaKayla Darnell; a brother, Jack Keller; and a sister, Norma Dunlap.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Gary Ginter will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Uniopolis.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John United Methodist Church, Columbus Grove.
