Debbie Lee Hughes was a free spirit who lived her life to the fullest. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She left this world suddenly on June 13, 2022 at age 62.
She was born to Gary (Sandi) Smith and Carole (Joe) Ignarski on June 29, 1959, who survive. She also leaves behind a dear sister, Tammie Smith, and brother, Denny Smith. She graduated from Columbus Grove High School, as well as Fredericks Beauty School. She also received her Paralegal degree from Lima Technical College.
She was married to her former spouse, Michael Hughes, on June 17, 1978. Together they had two children: Andrew (Abby) Hughes and Alexander (Emily) Hughes, all surviving. She has 3 grandchildren, who were the absolute joy of her life: Axton, Sawyer, and Auric; as well as a beloved niece, Kailyn (David) Smith.
Debbie loved being with her family more than anything else. She was always the life of the party no matter where she was.
A celebration of life service is scheduled for 11am on July 16, 2022 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove, Ohio.
