Darlene Bishops Obituary
COLUMBUS GROVE — Darlene Bishop, 62, died Sept. 2, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 25, 1950, in Lima to James and Lorene Extine Bishop. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Pandora.
Miss Bishop was a 1968 graduate of Kalida High School. She was a homemaker and had worked at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Bluffton, and at Orthopedic Institute of Ohio, Lima. She enjoyed working on genealogy and searching for and collecting American Indian artifacts. Her most special love was spending time with her grandson. She previously went by the last names of Sharrits and Powell.
Survivors also include a son, Scott (Patricia) Sharrits, of Columbus; a daughter, Dr. Amie Sharrits, of Raleigh, N.C.; four brothers, Randy (Beth) Bishop, of South Carolina, Mike (Anna) Bishop, of Chicago, Dan (Debbie) Bishop, of South Carolina, and Steve (Tammie) Bishop, of Pandora; two sisters, Renae Bishop, of South Carolina, and Lynette Bishop, of Florida; and a grandson, Clayton Sharrits.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard “Rick” Bishop.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Nestor Reyes will officiate. Burial will be in Truro West Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
