Cynthia L Irwin's Obituary
Cynthia L. Irwin, 68, of Columbus Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. She was born on October 1, 1957, in Lima, Ohio to the late Theodore "Ted" and Eloise (Myers) Verhoff. On September 26, 1975, she married Dan Irwin, who survives.
Cindy formerly worked at Grove Country Foods in Columbus Grove and International Brake Industries in Lima, but the job she truly loved was being a wife, a mom, a grandma, an aunt, a sister, a cousin and in-home childcare provider who loved each child as they were her own. She loved spending time with her family watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and supporting her kids and grandkids in all their endeavors.
She is survived by her children, Kelley (Matt) Powell, Nate (Heidi) Irwin, and Chad (Leah) Irwin; seven grandchildren, Riley Irwin, Ava Lackey, Reid Irwin, Tyson Irwin, Tori Irwin, Sarah Irwin and Emily Irwin; step-grandchildren, Carly (Caisey) Fowler and Abby Powell; siblings, Frances "Fritz" (Dan) Maag, Teddi (Gordon) Graham, Greg (Angie) Verhoff, and Vickie (Jerry) Ruen; father-in-law, Steve Irwin. She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Teresa Irwin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 29, 2026, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 State Route 12, Columbus Grove with visitation one hour prior (10:00 am - 11:00 am). Visitation is also on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home. Pastor Geoff Eubank officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Preferred memorial contributions can be made to the Liberty-Benton Athletic Boosters, Findlay High School Music Boosters, the Columbus Grove Athletic Boosters or donor's choice.
