Colleen A. Best's Obituary
Colleen A. Best, age 76, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born October 16, 1948 in Lima, Ohio to Lawrence and Clara (Smith) Best.
Colleen worked at Brookhill for many years, participating in Special Olympics as well. She enjoyed puzzle books, coloring, watching her great nieces and nephews events, and was an avid Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy watcher. She also enjoyed collecting Barbie dolls, and finding bargains at garage sales.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Connie Best, six nieces and nephews, Kathy (Best) & Dan Turnwald, Eric (Best) & Mike Davis, Brian & Sarah (Skinner) Best, Dave Niemeyer, Greg & Jennifer (Albrigio) Niemeyer, and Julie (Niemeyer) & Jason Potts, eleven great nieces and nephews, Rachel Turnwald, Jonathan Turnwald, Grace Turnwald, Rose Turnwald, Clare Turnwald, Hudson Davis, Charlotte Davis, Mia Best, Ave Best, Brady Potts, and Andrew Potts.
She was preceded in death by her sister Jean (Best) Niemeyer and Jerry Niemeyer, brothers George Best, and Paul Best.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, OH., with visitation at the church one hour prior to Mass. Father David Ritchie officiating. Burial is at St. Anthony Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Brookhill Industries, Ottawa, OH.
