Christopher L. Fuerst “Bear”, age 62, passed away on July 18, 2024, at his home near Columbus Grove. Chris was born, on January 3, 1962, to Thomas and Joyce (Irwin) Fuerst in Fort Knox, Kentucky. His father survives near Columbus Grove.
Chris is survived by his sister Rose (Ken) Polovich, his niece Shawna (James Baker) Weidman, and his great-nephews and nieces: JJ Baker, Nataleighann Baker, Mason Baker and Miranda Baker. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Fuerst, his mother Joyce Fuerst, his nephew TJ, his niece Paige and his beloved dog Tinkerbell.
Chris was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, Class of 1980, and served from 1981-1987 in the Armed Forces. He was a member of the Wetzel Motorcycle Club for 23 years and found his “family” at the club. Chris was the member that had all the answers. He could always find the food and could tell you exactly how to do anything.
Visitation and a service will be held at Hartman Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Friends may call from 3:00pm until time of service at 5:00pm. Pastor Frank Howard from Forged in Fire Ministry presiding.
