Cheryl Caton's Obituary
Cheryl Lynn Caton, 75, of Columbus Grove, passed away on February 20, 2025. She was born on April 14, 1949, in Lima, Ohio to Ray and Clara (Driver) Hitchcock. On July 18, 1971, she married the love of her life, Wayne Caton.
Cheryl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Jeff (Regina) Caton and Joy (Ryan) Williams; her grandchildren, Adam Williams, Meagan Williams, Mackenzie Caton, Cameron (Konner) Caton, Abigail Gladwell, and Alec (Rachel) Gladwell; and her great-grandchild, Carter Caton. She is also survived by her brother, Tom (Nancy) Hitchcock.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle, her siblings: Francis (Evan) Burkholder, Dorothy (Willard) Eversole, Mary Jo Basinger, Patricia (Carroll) Roberts, and Richard (Margaret) Hitchcock.
Cheryl had a deep love for her family and never missed an opportunity to support them at their events. She was known for her incredible baking skills, bringing joy to others with her famous cake pops, buckeye brownies, and apple pie moonshine. She found happiness in Camping, boating on Torch Lake, visiting Mackinac Island and wine tasting. She also enjoyed gardening, crafting, and treasured the fellowship of her church family. Visitation will be on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 9-11 a.m. at the Vaughnsville Community Church. Celebration of Life will follow at 11 a.m. at the Vaughnsville Community Church. Pastor James Klausing officiating. Burial to follow at Truro Cemetery in Columbus Grove. Memorial contributions in Cheryl's honor may be made to the Vaughnsville Community Church.
