Columbus Grove, Ohio Charlotte M. Bell, 79 years, died at 7:04 a.m. on Monday August 3, 2015, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora, Ohio. She was born on October 11, 1935, in Vaughnsville to Virgil L. and Gladys V. (Owens) Jones. They both preceded her in death. On September 19, 1954, she married William Bell, and he survives in Columbus Grove. Charlotte is survived by two sons: Curt Bell and Keith (Debra) Bell both of Columbus Grove; one daughter: Beth Diller of Findlay; one daughter in-law: Dawn Bell of Rawson; four grandchildren: Jared (Abby) Diller of Angola, Lisa Beth (Joe) Brautigam of Lima, Alex Bell of Columbus Grove and Kobi Bell of Florida; four great grandchildren: Charlotte and James Brautigam, Jackson and Josie Diller; one brother: Owen (Carol) Jones of Columbus Grove; three sisters: Janet (Kenneth) Klinger of Ada, Beverly (William) Begg of Bluffton and Marie (Ronald) Gallaher of Findlay; one brother in-law: Larry Long of Lima and one sister in-law: Brenda (Larry) Clymer of Columbus Grove. She is preceded in death by one son: Neal Bell; and one sister Karen Long. Mrs. Bell was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1953, after which she worked at Webb Insurance, Lima. She was a stay at home mom until her children all were in school. She retired after 28 1/2 years, as the Assistant Treasurer for Columbus Grove School System. Charlotte had loved to sew, crochet, knit and cross stitch, having made many majorette, flag corp. and wedding dresses and was a very good cook and awesome baker. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds, O.S. U. Buckeye and Columbus Grove Bulldog fan. She had spent countless hours babysitting for her grandchildren, and loving every minute. Charlotte was one heck of wife, mother and grandmother. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Geoff Eubank will officiate. Burial will follow in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus Grove Band Boosters or the Columbus Grove Athletic Association. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
