Charles Irvil "Chuck" Oatman, III's Obituary
Charles "Chuck" Oatman, III, 56, of Columbus Grove, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026. He was born on March 16, 1970, in Lima, Ohio, to Charles and Nancy (May) Oatman, Jr., who survive. On October 24, 1992, he married Heather Williams, who preceded him in death on July 27, 2022.
Chuck was a welder, fabrication and machine operator for 25 years at GROB Systems, Bluffton. He was a member of NRA, Lions Club of Columbus Grove, Cairo Sportsmen Club, Delphos Eagles, auxiliary member of the VFW of Columbus Grove, Kalida Fish and Game Club, and the Northwest Ohio Field and Stream. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and arrowhead hunting. He also loved watching Ohio State College Football, Denver Broncos and was an avid euchre player.
He is also survived by his children, Chassidy (Brandon) Grigsby and Claire Oatman; granddaughter, Charlotte Grigsby; brother, Travis Oatman; father and mother-in-law, Kenny (Amy) Williams and Beverly (Robert) Spencer; brother-in-law, Blake (Celeste) Williams; and sister-in-law, Megan (Brady) Broadstone. He was also preceded in death by brother, Jason Oatman.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 State Route 12, Columbus Grove with visitation one hour prior (10:00 am - 11:00 am). Mary Iiames officiating. Burial to follow at Lewis Grove Cemetery, Bath Township. Visitation is also on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home.
