Columbus Grove, Ohio
Charlene Otto, age 60, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at her home in Columbus Grove. She was born April 5, 1964 to Toby and Virgie (Gipson) Golden in Jackson, Michigan. Virgie preceded her in death. On December 3, 1993, she married Michael Otto Sr., who passed away September 30, 2015.
Charlene is survived by her two sons Harold (Jessica) Golden Jr and Joshua (Amanda) Golden and her three daughters Annett (Robert) Gander, Bobbi (Kayla) Calvelage, and Patricia (Brett) Goodin. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, plus one on the way, and three sisters: Alane Golden, Paula Eilerman, and Melissa Smith. She was preceded in death by her sister Diane Gipson and her brothers Kristopher Mills and Ronald Gipson.
Charlene bartended at the Eagles in Ottawa and the Eagles in Columbus Grove, and had managed the Columbus Grove American Legion. She was a life member of the VFW in Columbus Grove. She had many friends and was in turn a friend to all. She was an avid motorcycle rider and also enjoyed fast cars, especially Mustangs. Charlene loved to shop and travel with her husband before he passed. She will be remembered as a great mother and grandmother who loved her family most of all.
Friends may call at Hartman Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Hartman Sons Funeral Home on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 11:00am with Pastor Geoff Eubank presiding. Burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora, Ohio.
