Columbus Grove, Ohio Catherine "Cathy" Marie Ruhe, age 73, died July 27, 2018, at the Meadows of Ottawa. She was born October 15, 1944, in Lima, Ohio to Lawrence and Mary (Maag) Meyer. They both preceded her in death. On October 26, 1963, she married William T. Ruhe. He preceded her in death, January 11, 2010. Catherine is survived by two sons, Ronald Thomas (Esther) Ruhe of Elida and Phillip John Ruhe of Ottawa; one daughter, Lisa Marie Bockrath of Ottawa; six grandchildren, Austin Ruhe, Emily Ruhe, Adam (Angie) Bockrath, Cassandra Bockrath, Caitlin Bockrath and Dylan Bockrath; one great granddaughter, Skylar Olivo; two brothers, Gordon (Edwina) Meyer of Dayton and Jim (Shirley) Meyer of Defiance; three sisters, Alma Chambers of Findlay, Lou Ann Selhorst of Kalida and Teresa (Steve) Irwin of Columbus Grove and sister in-law Pat (Oliver) Lugibihl. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Don (Edith), Leon (Shirley) and Paul Meyer; two sisters, Maxine (Paul) Henderson and Rosemary (John) Begg and two brothers in-law, Donald Selhorst and Frank Chambers. Catherine was a graduate of the Precious Blood, Dayton, class of 1962. She was a member of St. Anthony Church, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the Altar Rosary Society of the Church. She was a member of the Ottawa Fire Department Auxiliary. Catherine also volunteered at Hilty Memorial Home, spending many hours visiting and helping the residents. She loved to spend time with family, especially her grandchildren. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at St. Anthony's Church, Columbus Grove. Father David Ritchie will officiate with burial to follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ottawa. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, July 30, 2018, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, where a Wake Service will be held at the close of visitation.
