Columbus Grove, Ohio Carrol D. Roberts, 81, died at 10:05 a.m., Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, Ohio. He was born on January 27, 1933, in Columbus Grove to Ralph and Florence E. (Ury) Roberts who preceded him in death. On July 27, 1952, he married Patricia M. Hitchcock, who preceded him in death on April 30, 2012. Mr. Roberts was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1951. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Columbus Grove, where he was an Elder and sang in the choir. Carrol had worked at Duff Truck Lines and retired from Kirk National Lease where he was a truck mechanic. He was a volunteer, for many years, at the Lord's Pantry, Columbus Grove. He is survived by four sons: Steven (Cathy) Roberts, Douglas Roberts, Jeffrey Roberts and Kenneth (Marge) Roberts, all of Columbus Grove; six grandsons, one granddaughter, four step grandchildren, seven grt grandchildren and three step grt grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Jane (Milton) McDowell and one daughter in-law, Tammy Roberts. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 10, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church, Columbus Grove. Rev. Harry Tolhurst will officiate. Burial will follow in Truro West Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call on Sunday, November 9, 2014, from 2:00-8:00 p.m., at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.
