Caroline Humphreys Obituary
Cridersville, Ohio Caroline M. Humphreys, 71, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at her home. She was born December 12, 1945, to William and Mary (Fout) Temple, who both preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Gary L. Wood; sons, Micah (Libby) French and Dale (Wynonia) Wood; and daughters, Connie (John Watson) Taylor, Jodi Lynn (Daniel) Johnson, and Cari (James) Fuerst. Five grandchildren, Simon Taylor, Morgan Taylor, Lucien Hendrickson, Kerstyn (Danny) Roth and Kortney (Gwil) Shroyer-Stump, and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mary Shepherd; six brothers, Paul, Robert, William, John, Donald and James Temple, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Caroline graduated from Pleasant High School, Marion, Ohio and from Marion Technical College, with a degree in accounting. She had worked for the Marion Shovel Co. and the Lima Corrections, which became The Oakwood Corrections, Lima, Ohio, from which she retired. Caroline was an animal lover and an avid reader. Some of her favorite activities included playing bingo and traveling. Friends may call Friday, March 17, 2017, from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 am, Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Claibourne Cemetery, Richwood, Ohio.
