Columbus Grove, Ohio Bruce E. Steele, age 66, died at 6:21 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2015, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. He was born on September 25, 1949, in Lima, Ohio, to John W. "Jack" and Geneva (Everett) Steele. They both preceded him in death. Bruce was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1967. He had retired from Putnam County Job & Family Services, where he had been a supervisor. Bruce was an Army veteran, serving during Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion, Post #516 and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #2772, both of Columbus Grove, Ohio. He was an avid sports fan of all sports, but especially NASCAR. He is survived by one son: Michael Lee Daniels of Versailles, Ohio; a sister: Donna Steele McMillen of Columbus Grove; one niece: Ashley (Jason) Schroeder; and two great nieces: Mariah and Jordan. He was preceded in death by one brother: William D. Steele; and two grandmothers: Louise Everett and Alta Steele. Memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Brett Kelly will officiate, with burial to follow in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove, where a Military Service will be held. Family will receive friends from 9:00a.m until time of the Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
