Columbus Grove, Ohio Bonnie Marie Bourquin, 103, died Friday, February 26, 2016, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, Ohio. She was born July 5, 1912, to Ray and Floy (Eversole) Bogart, who preceded her in death. On June 5, 1938, she married Gladwin E. Bourquin, who died December 26, 2002. She is survived by two sons: David Bourquin of Redlands, CA and William Bourquin of Yorba Linda, CA; one daughter: Diane (Gene) Bywater of Milford, Ohio; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and three sisters: Alice Burkholder of Columbus Grove, Jean Kaple of Lima and Midge Maxwell of Dyer, Indiana. Marie was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Elfie Bourquin; three brothers: Harold, Ronnie and infant, Bobby Bogart; and three sisters: Edyth John, Wanda Dilsaver and Estelle Augsburger. Mrs. Bourquin was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1930. She was the secretary for Columbus Grove Schools from 1959 to 1968, when she retired. Marie was a member of the Columbus Grove Christian Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Columbus Grove, Chapter #527. She gardened, was a caring person, enjoyed reading, and especially enjoyed family visits. Other memberships included the Child Study Club and Heureux Temps Card Club, both of Columbus Grove. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Columbus Grove Christian Church, where there will be visitation one prior to the service. Pastor Geoff Eubank will officate, with Chaplain Bill Herr will share memories of Marie. Burial will follow in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, where an Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30 p.m.. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Columbus Grove Library or Columbus Grove Christian Church. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
