Arlene Augusta Johnson's Obituary
Arlene A. Johnson, 88, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on June 30, 2026. She was born on September 20, 1937, in Cairo, Ohio to the late Don and Vernie (Wood) Earl. On December 24, 1971, she married Thomas E. Johnson, who survives.
Arlene was a 1955 graduate of Lima Central High School. She moved to South Florida in 1960 and retired in 1980 from the data processing department at McArthur Dairy in Miami, Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Johnson; her Sister-in-law Shirley McDonald, stepdaughter, Alice (Matthew) Buck; nieces, Diane (Max) Miller, Lori (Kelly Six) Ebling, Gwendolyn (Patrick) Medeiros, and Cindy Ebling; nephews, Mike (Patricia) Ebling, Scott Ebling, Nick (Michelle) Earl, Roy McDonald , and Ned (Nancy) Earl; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Deborah Johnson; her siblings, Robert (Patricia) Earl and Donna May (Lester) McClanahan; and her nephews, Neal Earl, Daniel McDonald, John McDonald, and Randy Ebling.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Cairo United Methodist Church, 210 W. Main Street, Cairo, Ohio. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Pastor Ted Bible will officiate. A reception will follow at the church.
