Allene Pack Obituary
VAUGHNSVILLE — Allene Pack, 84, died at 1:52 a.m., Friday March 7, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born July 8, 1929, in Auxier, Kentucky to Clyde and Rebecca (Adkins) Tackett, who preceded her in death. On September 10, 1949, she married Herbert Pack, Jr. who died on June 7, 1994. Mrs. Pack was a homemaker. She was a member of the Cridersville Independent Baptist Church. Allene loved visiting with family and friends. She was a caregiver to her disabled brother, "June" for 25 years and to other family members in their time of need. She enjoyed cooking and was famous for her chicken and dumplings and Christmas fudge. She is survived by two sons, Larry (Marilyn) Pack of Kentucky and Mark (Sherry) Pack of Columbus Grove; two daughters, Cherie (Jerry) Bryant of Kansas and Kim (Greg) Dray of Texas; one sister, Elcine Hall of Lima; three sisters in-law, Sherie Tackett, Marion Tackett and Carolyn Legoretta; a very special brother in-law, Raymond Schwartz; and her daughter Becky's dog, Rosie, who she dearly loved. Allene is preceded in death by a daughter; Becky Pack, four brothers, William E., Clyde "June" Jr., Ora and Thomas Ray Tackett and two sisters Mary Magdaline Tackett and Lorraine Reese. Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00-7:00pm and Monday 4:00-7:00pm at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. Services will begin at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove with Pastor Brandon Wireman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Angels for Animals or the charity of the donors choice , in lieu of flowers.
