Alice M. Wiswasser, age 92, died Thursday, August 12, 2021, at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born September 5, 1928, in Lima to Leo H. and Lucy Rose (Meyer) Maag. They both preceded her in death.
On June 1, 1950, she married Billy F. Wiswasser, who preceded her in death on May 2, 2007.
Alice is survived by her son, Billy (Jeanna) Wiswasser, Jr.; two daughters, Deborah Schmersal and Sharon Harman; daughter in-law, Kim Wiswasser; seven grandchildren, Greg (Donna) Schmersal, Jeremy (Karen) Schmersal, Elijha (Lisa) Wiswasser, Natalie (Charlie) Aguirre, Heather Wiswasser, Amber (Brian) Riepenhoff and Taylor (Trent) Kerns; 12 great grandchildren, Alex, Emily, Matt, Luke, Elijah Jacob, Carlie, Camille, Riley, Drew, Layne, Isaac and Everly; two sisters, Jeannette(Bob) Busack and Mary Maxine (Joe) Karl along with her sister in-law, Sally Maag.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Wiswasser; four brothers, Sylvester, Virgil, Elmer, Arnold and Wilfred Maag, along with two sisters, Edna and Amelia Maag.
Alice was from Frogtown and she attended a one-room schoolhouse in Frogtown. She then graduated from Ottawa Glandorf School.
She was a homemaker and had worked at the former Triplett Co., Bluffton. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary of the Church, Columbus Grove. Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, and going to the Ocean at Hilton Head.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Hartman Sons Funeral, Columbus Grove, where services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Chaplain Tomas Pistora will officiate with burial to follow in St. Anthony Church Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
