Alice Leary Obituary
Columbus Grove, Ohio Alice R. Leary, 87,died at her home in Columbus Grove, September 20, 2018. She was born May 9, 1931, in Peekskill, New York, to Gilbert N. and Ruth Irene (Seaboldt) Waldron. They both preceded her in death. On September 19, 1948, she married Willard C. "Bill" Leary. He preceded her in death, November 23, 2005. Alice is survived by her son, Brian H. (Julie) Leary and her daughter, Kathleen D. Titus, both of Columbus Grove; four grandchildren, Richard (Heide) Titus, Raymond Titus, Erica (Patrick) Kelley and Erin Leary; two great grandchildren, Cassidy Titus and Ewen Titus; one brother, Edward A. Waldron of Florida; and sister, Lynn M. (Peter) Trocchia of Greenville, SC, sister in-law, Beverly Waldron of Laurenberg, NC. She was preceded in death by a son in-law, Michael Titus; two brothers, Gilbert R. and Richard (Joy) Waldron , sister, Janice C. (Ronald) Humphreys; and sister in-law, Katherine Waldron. Alice was a graduate of Kenwood High School, Baltimore, MD. She was a homemaker and member of the St. John's United Methodist Church, and the Women's Society of the Church. She was also a member of the Columbus Grove Lion's Club, the Putnam County Masters Gardeners and a volunteer with the Lord's Pantry for over 30 years. She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, knitting and watching movies. Alice loved to spend time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Services will begin at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Katie Hayes will officiate with burial to follow in Vaughnsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lord's Pantry, or St. John's United Methodist Church, both of Columbus Grove. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
