Indian Lake, Ohio Alice Kathleen Alkire, age 89, died at 10:39 a.m., on January 19, 2018, at Richland Manor, Bluffton, Ohio. She was born on April 1, 1928, to Homer and Lillian (Seller) Hamilton. They both preceded her in death. On November 24, 1946, she married Irvin Alkire, he preceded her in death on September 1, 2009. Alice is survived by one daughter, Kathleen (Will) Earl of Cairo; four sons, Dale (Nancy) Alkire of Lima, David (Kathleen) Alkire of Bellefontaine, Gary (Maria) Alkire of Portage, MI and Ron (Joann) Alkire of Vanlue; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister Burnise Ferguson and a brother Edward Hamilton. Alice was a lifetime member of the Columbus Grove VFW Auxillary and a member of the So-So Club of Bellefontaine. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Ottawa. Alice enjoyed living at Indian Lake, crafts, fishing, and ceramic work. She was very much an artist, able to draw and paint pictures. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. Pastor Rich Rakay will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty, Ohio. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals 'til Monday, P.O.
