It's a bear.... I'm going to miss you Old friend. The first time we met was on the beach at the clubhouse. Huck and I we're walking the shoreline and as Huck was telling me about the pond and some of the members, and what the club was all about. As we approached bear he was coming up out of the water from taking a swim. As his submerged body began to rise from the water's depths. His chest emerged at the waters surface. And hanging from both his nipple rings were two bluegill. As he continues to walk out not paying any attention to the two bluegill just grinning and smiling. He says to us, the piranha Gill are voracious. You don't want to stop moving when you're in the water. As he continues to say. While I was going for a swim, I thought I'd do a little fishing. Chuckling. He commences to say, looks like I caught a couple. And we all laughed. He then introduced himself to me. And I to him. We talked for a bit and parted ways. As time had passed , and I'd begin hanging out with huck at the property quite often. That year I went to my very first biker rally. Having a great time at the party I was asked if I wanted to volunteer for the next party. In addition to being invited out during their other celebrations. Bear and I became better acquainted. He was a very soft spoken Man, his size pretty much spoke volumes. He didn't have to say a whole lot to get your attention with his soft spoken voice. As we got to know each other better, he decided he was going to befriend me I found that a little intimidating at first. Because he liked to hassle me. As I'm just a little guy. But I never let him know that I was intimidated. He'd had a few drinks one evening as we were all sitting around enjoying the property just talking about things in general I had gotten up and I think I went down to the point. As I was coming back, bear and I met on the back patio. As he was coming out the door he says well hi Cola. what are you up to? I respond to him. Not much bear, just coming back up to the bar to grab a couple of beers. He continues to say, you haven't had too many tonight have a young man. Of course not bear. Continuing to say it looks like you got a little bit of a glow your self bear, I didn't think you drank, he commenced to say I do occasionally and I'm feeling pretty good this evening. I responded with. That's cool bear I'm glad you're enjoying your buzz. He says you've been hanging around here for a little while with huck and Craig seems to like you. He says you're a good kid. And you seem like a pretty good guy, as he reaches out with both of his arms as he was going to wrap them around me. I didn't know how to react, he commenced to grabbing me around my head with just one arm to hug me. Like the monster did on Looney tunes with bugs Bunny. He decided I was going to be his little buddy, and we're going to be friends. I like you, as he picks me up with his one arm wrapped around my forehead. I said hey bear I'm glad we're friends and all. Because you're a pretty big boy, and I wouldn't want you to be on my bad side. As I said. But could you please let me down as I was dangling from my head. Feet off the ground .in his grasps as he was hugging me, he realized what he was doing patted me on the head with his other hand and gently sat me down and released my head, and continued to say sorry little buddy I didn't mean to hurt you. Did I? No bear, you didn't hurt me you just gave me a bear size hug around my head and pick me up off my feet. it'll be okay and we laughed and carried on. I'm going to miss you bear old buddy. I'll never forget that bear size hug you put around my head that day and pick me up off my feet. As you told me we were going to be friends. And of course you're fishing lures as you walked out of the pond with the bluegill hanging off your nipples. You take care old pal. And keep your knees in a breeze. love you brother, and I'll catch you on the flip side.
