Robert Morman Obituary Columbus Grove, Ohio Robert G. "Bob" Morman, age 75, died Saturday, July 21, 2018, at The Meadows of Kalida, in Kalida, Ohio. He was born December 15, 1942 in Columbus Grove, Ohio. On April 16, 1966 he married Judith E. Bockrath who survives in Columbus Grove, Ohio. Bob is survived by two sons, Tony (Christine) Morman of Columbus Grove and Tim (Jodi) Morman of Ft. Jennings; two daughters Kathy (Darren) Kaufman of Kalida and Deb (Chris) Graham of Sidney; five brothers William (Lucy) Morman of Columbus Grove, Carl (Marilyn) Morman of Glandorf, Edward (Jeannette, deceased) Morman of Columbus Grove, Ben Morman of Columbus Grove, Pat Morman of Columbus Grove; three sisters Florence (Ben) Niese of Leipsic, Mary Morman of Columbus Grove, Julie (Steve) Rieman of Ottawa; and nine grandchildren Ben Kaufman, Luke Kaufman, Cierra Morman, Sam Morman, Eli Graham, Paige Graham, Griffin Morman, Natalie Morman, and Lydia Morman. He was preceded in death by one sister Norma Morman; one brother Joseph E (Alice) Morman; and one grandson Kyle Kaufman. Bob was a graduate of St Anthony's Catholic School and Vaughnsville High School class of 1960. He was a member of the Ohio National Guard and of the Columbus Grove American Legion Post 516. Bob was a member of St Anthony's Church in Columbus Grove and had formerly served on the Church Council. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 370 in Lima. Bob had been a carpenter with Schnipke Builders and Morman Brothers Construction. He was then a lineman with Paulding-Putnam Electric for 30-years. In his retirement he enjoyed carpentry and helping his family and friends. Bob enjoyed helping with work on his family farm. One of Bob's passions was lawn care - so much so that some referred to his lawn as "Bob's Big Green Carpet". He did the grass maintenance for 20 plus years for all the Paulding-Putnam Co-op substations in Putnam County. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at St Anthony's Church in Columbus Grove. Father David Ritchie will officiate. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. A rosary service will be held on Wednesday evening at close of visitation.
