We are so sorry to hear the passing of Joe. Joe was such a great guy. From the time I was little and showing sheep to now. Joe had such a heart of gold. You all will be in our prayers. Matt, Linsey and Jacob Wiechart
Our sincere thoughts of prayer and sympathy. Don, we both lost our dad in this past week.Heaven certainly gained two great men!~Becky & Duane Von Lehmden
You have my condolences. Joe was a great guy who would always wave to you when you were out. 22 years ago I bought a Ford Truck because of Joe. He came by one evening and said Ford had a promtion going if he could get 2 or 3 customers It would give me a good deal and he would get something that I can't remember. I have had only one ford vehicle for he new I was a Chevrolet customer. I still have that truck.
Our family met the Schmidt's in the late 1970's when I reached out with a postcard inquiring about (show) lambs for sale. Joe and my father (Jack) bonded instantly and the entire Schmidt family became an extension of our own. If one could draw a picture of a hard working farmer, committed (Ford) plant employee, loving father and spouse, thoughtful human being and committed shepherd to his flock - it would look exactly like Joe Schmidt. While our loss (here) is great, the Lord has recruited a master-of-the-flock in heaven. My parents and he are likely discussing crops, cattle, horses, young lambs and making plans for the summer shows...A good man and an even better friend - Joe we will miss you.Martin Tremmel and Sharon (Tremmel) Tordoff
Joe was a Great neighbor and good man.I would usually see him rolling by the house on his JD tractor -!always waving, always wearing a smile, and always appeared to be enjoying whatever he was doing at that point in time.I would also see them each evening as they drive by the house just after dark, heading around the block to check on their fields, properties, and the neighborhood He will be missedOut deepest condolences to the Family
I met Joe at work in 1973,we were at work friends instantly.Joe was one of the nicest persons I ever meet. i last seen Joe in Ada getting his truck seviced. I tried to get him to have lunch with me, but no luck, but had to settle for a long visit. I 'll never forget Joe. see you in Heaven friend.
Kate and family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Joe. He was kind man, and I enjoyed spending time at the farm when my dad brought me along. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
